The colour photographs show multiple pigment epithelial detachments (PEDs), which is in keeping with the OCT findings.
Idiopathic multifocal pigment epithelial detachment (IMPED) is thought to be a variant of central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR). Most case series suggest that this condition predominantly affects middle-aged women. The visual prognosis is usually good with no intervention indicated unless complicated by a secondary choroidal neovascular membrane.
